About CrewMeasure
CrewMeasure is a free construction-calculator web app for contractors, tradespeople, remodelers, estimators, and working foremen who need quick field math without an account gate.
The strongest product idea is connected jobsite calculation: enter measurements once, carry supported values into related calculators, keep assumptions visible, and turn results into material or project summaries where the app supports it.
What Is Live
- 40 active calculator routes in the current app catalog.
- No account requirement for core calculator access.
- Local-first project storage in the current version.
- Recents and favorites stored in the browser.
- Material-list workflow for supported calculator outputs.
- PDF export code and tests for supported material-list summaries.
- An installable web-app architecture with service-worker caching.
What Is Planned or Conditional
- Cloud sync.
- Accounts.
- Branded reports.
- Supplier-ready product lists.
- Cost libraries, markup, and quote workflows.
- Native iOS or Android app-store builds.
- API, SDK, embed, or white-label partner access.
- Manufacturer-specific modules.
These should be described as planned, future, or under evaluation until the shipped product and deployment evidence support stronger wording.
Formula Philosophy
CrewMeasure should make formulas, assumptions, source references, warnings, rounding rules, and limitations easy to inspect. Some calculators are general geometry or quantity formulas. Others use code-referenced or industry-reference datasets where supported.
Code-referenced does not mean locally code-compliant. Always verify local adopted codes, amendments, manufacturer instructions, permits, loads, clearances, and project-specific field conditions.
Why This Matters
Construction math is easy to scatter across spreadsheets, handwritten notes, supplier calculators, estimating tools, and disconnected apps. CrewMeasure is most useful when it acts as the measurement and calculation layer between raw jobsite dimensions and the downstream decisions a contractor needs to make.
