Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 11, 2026 Last updated: July 23, 2026
CrewMeasure ("CrewMeasure," "we," "us," or "our") provides a construction and trades calculator application (the "App," currently available as a web app and installable PWA). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.
CrewMeasure is designed as a local-first calculator app with no account required for core use. First load requires network access, and supported routes can be cached for offline repeat use.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require you to create an account or log in to use any calculator.
- We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or email unless you voluntarily contact us.
- We do not access your device's camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
- We do not sell personal information.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
Calculator inputs, saved sessions, and project data you enter are stored locally on your device using browser storage such as IndexedDB. This data:
- Is stored locally in the current version.
- Is not accessible to us through a CrewMeasure account or backend server, because the current version does not have those systems.
- Can be lost if you clear browser data, uninstall the app, reset the device, or lose access to the browser profile.
- Is included in any PDF export you generate, which leaves your device only if you choose to save or share it.
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the App, such as which pages and calculators are used most, general traffic patterns, and whether key actions such as calculator use or PDF export are working as expected.
Google Analytics may collect technical and usage information such as page views, events, browser and device information, approximate location, referring pages, and similar analytics data. CrewMeasure does not use analytics to see the measurements or project details you enter into calculators, and calculator project data remains stored locally in the current version.
Google's handling of analytics data is governed by Google's policies, including Google's Privacy Policy. You can control or limit analytics collection through your browser settings, browser extensions, Google account settings where applicable, or other privacy tools.
4. Information We Collect If You Contact Us
If you email us for support, feedback, or formula review, we receive whatever information you include in that message, such as your email address, message content, screenshots, calculator inputs, or project context. We use this information to respond to you and improve CrewMeasure.
5. Children's Privacy
CrewMeasure is intended for tradespeople, contractors, estimators, remodelers, and adults using construction calculators. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction.
6. Future Changes
Future features may introduce optional accounts, cloud sync, paid plans, integrations, or app-store builds. If that happens, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe what data is collected, how it is stored, and what choices you have before those features are relied on.
7. Your Choices
- Local data: Clear it through your browser's site settings or by removing app data.
- Analytics: Use browser privacy settings, tracking-protection tools, Google account controls where applicable, or disable JavaScript if you do not want analytics scripts to run.
- Contact emails: Do not include sensitive project, client, or personal information in support messages unless it is needed for the request.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be noted with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
